DU English teacher’s home raided
A team of Maharashtra police, accompanied by the Delhi police, raided the house of a Delhi University teacher on Thursday allegedly on the grounds that his residence was being used as “a place for the deposit of stolen property.”
According to sources, the police raided the house of Dr G.N. Saibaba, assistant professor of English at Ram Lal Anand College on Thursday afternoon and confiscated several things, including his laptop, mobile phone and some files.
Duta president Nandita Narain said, “Dr Saibaba has been targeted because he is a human rights activist.”
She also alleged that the university administration was clearly complicit in granting the permission for the raid.
