A doctor from Safdarjung hospital here, who had initially prepared the medical report of the male friend of the December 16 gangrape victim, today recorded his statement in a fast-track court.

The doctor had also recorded the statement of the youth , a software engineer, after he was rushed to the hospital along with the 23-year-old victim who was in a critical state due to the injuries allegedly inflicted on her by six persons, one of whom is a juvenile.

The girl died on December 29, 2012 in a Singapore hospital due to the grievous injuries she suffered when she was brutally assaulted by the six accused.

Besides Bajaj, Dr P.K. Verma, who was in-charge of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where the victim was undergoing treatment for 10 days, also recorded his statement as a prosecution witness today.
