Days to be sunny, nights cooler in coming weeks
The city experienced a pleasant day on Saturday with a maximum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, said the India Meteorological Department.
There was mist early in the morning and the minimum temperature was recorded at 17.1ºCelsius, two notches above average, an official said.
Similar weather conditions were forecast for Sunday, likely to have a clear sky. The maximum temperature will be around 31º Celsius and minimum temperature will be around 17º Celsius, the official said.
The weatherman said the difference in day and night temperature will increase in the coming week.
“The days will remain sunny and nights will get cooler in the coming week,” the official said.
However, the city remained engulfed by smog for another day and visibility was reduced due to high moisture and pollutants in the air.
Smog has been there in the city air since the past few days.

Govt defaming Team Anna members: Bedi
Ghaziabad, Nov. 5: Anna Hazare associate Kiran Bedi on Saturday alleged the government has no business except to look for opportunities for tarnishing the image of Team Anna members for its political gains in the coming elections.
She told reporters here that Arvind Kejriwal paid the amount demanded by the income tax department and she was also dragged in a controversy of discounted air fare, which showed that the government “did not leave a chance to defame them”.
Bedi claimed Hazare team members “have no stigma of corruption” on them but the government wanted to defame them.
Cricketer Asish Nehra, who also attended the function of Bedi’s NGO, said Anna's object is right to fight corruption and he appreciated the work done by Team Anna members to eradicate corruption from the country.
Nehra also said punishment awarded to Pakistan cricketers Salman Bhatt and Mohd Aamer for spot-fixing was a lesson and stressed on the need to maintain honesty and integrity in good spirit of the game.
Meanwhile, In an apparent case of honour killing, a man was arrested here for allegedly murdering his sister's lover in Pawla village of the district, the police said on Saturday. Raju, the girl’s brother, was arrested and he has confessed to the crime, the police said.
Raju threw Sonu’s body into Hindon river after the murder, the SP said. — PTI
