Cops call off curbs on Metro
Delhi Metro’s Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat stations will now open at 6 am on Thursday as the police has withdrawn the restrictions imposed earlier as the stations are close to the marathon route.
The two stations, which were supposed to be closed from 5 am to 11 am on Thursday due to marathon and Games closing ceremony, will now open as usual from 6 am, DMRC spokesman Anuj Dayal said.
All gates of Rajiv Chowk, one of the major interchange stations of the Metro network, will also remain open from 6 am as against the earlier restriction of just 3 gates.
“The Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat Metro stations will remain open for the public from 6 am on October 14 and all the entry gates of Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will also remain open as per normal timings, according to fresh instructions issued by the Delhi police,” Mr Dayal said.
