Cops being sensitised, says CM

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday said Delhi police is being sensitised to deal with cases of abuse and violence against children and women but voiced concern over rise in such incidents taking place within the four walls of a house.

“The police is trying better now, but it’s a long haul. Police forces are being sensitised quickly and prepared to use electronic gadgets to be able to pursue these cases. But when abuse takes place inside a house, then it becomes difficult. You can stop abuse on the roads, in open spaces. But how do we stop abuse that happens inside homes.”
She stressed on developing a whole mileu of culture in the society to prevent this menace.
