Cops arrest 3 men for snatching, robbery
The police has arrested three notorious criminals, including one serving life imprisonment out on bail. The trio was involved in several cases of snatching and robbery in southwest district.
Naresh, alias Karne, Satish and Joginder, alias Leela, were arrested on Wednesday at around 3.50 pm, after the police got specific information about them going towards Dwarka Mor.
“The police laid a trap and a barricade was put up in front of NSIT Sector 3. They were going to Dwarka from Kakrola Mor in a hired taxi. A countrymade pistol and two live rounds were recovered from their possession,” deputy commissioner of police (southwest) A.K. Ojha said.
Earlier, Naresh and Satish used to work as conductors in Blueline buses and as cleaners on trucks.
Naresh is working as a driver in a radio taxi company for the past three months while Satish is a resident of Bharana village in Jhajjar.
Satish was earlier arrested for being involved in a kidnapping case in Sonepat, Haryana, in the year 2006. He has also worked as a conductor in a Blueline bus.
Joginder, a resident of village Mandhoti in Bahadurgarh, had been serving life term in a murder case and was out on bail.
He and his brother Dinesh had killed one Jaiveer who had a criminal background.
“Jaiveer had thrashed the accused once following which there was enmity between their families. After the incident he left the village,” DCP Ojha said.
The trio used to commit robberies and snatchings mostly in southwest and west Delhi.
