Cop: why didn’t ponty take men with him?

A source in the Delhi police told this newspaper on Monday that “during investigations Namdhari told the police that Ponty was all alone except for his security manager, which raises serious questions as Ponty was well aware that the farmhouse was disputed and that there could be an ugly spat at any moment.

Also, Mr Namdhari did not call the PCR on the way to the hospital where he was taking the wounded Ponty Chadha; the hospital staff informed the police about Ponty Chadha’s arrival there. However, mid-way, Mr Namdhari made five calls for personal reasons and only after their suggestions did he lodge an FIR at the Mehrauli police station. “The information coming in is forming a thread that makes the allegations of the involvement of Namdhari in Ponty’s murder more solid,” the official claimed.
