Concessions for senior citizens hailed

The Rail Budget has left the citizens feeling that there is something in it for everybody and, hence, there is not much to complain about. However, they wished improvement in the basic services and hygiene at stations. Some of the measures seems to have given almost all a reason to cheer. “My parents can now visit us more

often as they will have to spend less,” said Shambhavi Jha, a software executive from Muzaffar-pur. The concession for senior citizens has been hiked from 30 per cent to 40 per cent, while the age for women to avail senior citizen concession has been reduced from 60 to 58.
