Class 5 student found hanging at e. delhi home

A 12-year-old Class 5 student committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his home here, the police said on Monday.

The boy, Rohit, who lived in Trilokpuri, east Delhi, with his mother and two younger siblings was found hanging around 8.30 pm on Sunday by his mother.
He studied in a nearby government school.
“His mother found him hanging when she returned from her work. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of his death as police could not find out the reason behind his extreme step,” a police official said.
Meanwhile, Rishipal, 50, a businessman from Sonepat in Haryana, was stabbed to death by unidentified men in Azadpur market on Monday morning, the police said.
Investigators suspect it to be a case of personal rivalry as Rs 9,000 cash and his mobile phone were found intact.
In another incident, one Ranjeet Shah, 28, a worker employed at the Delhi Metro construction site near ITO, was stabbed and robbed by four men in Daryaganj around 10 pm on Sunday, the police said.
