CJM wife’s death: 2 bullets found
Five days after bullet-riddled body of Geetanjali Garg, wife of Chief Judicial Magistrate Gurgaon, was found, the police on Monday recovered two of the three bullets which pierced through her body.
Gurgaon police commissioner Alok Mittal told reporters on Monday that “two bullets which had hit Geetanjali were recovered from the scene of crime”.
He also said that the SIT, formed to probe the case, questioned K.K. Garg, the father of CJM Ravneet Garg.
Meanwhile, in their supplementary complaint, family of Geetanjali has alleged that her in-laws used to “torture her for dowry”, and at one occasion they even refused to pay school fees of her two children and had asked her to get the money from her parents.
A case of murder was registered against the CJM on Saturday.
On Sunday, her brother Pardeep Aggarwal filed another complaint with the police, alleging that Mr Garg’s family consistently ill-treated his sister.
They used to demand expensive gifts and cash from them, alleged Pardeep Aggarwal in his supplementary complaint submitted to Gurgaon police.
“A Skoda Laura worth `17 lakhs was given during wedding... After two years of marriage, on being pressurised by them, we were made to give them Skoda Superb worth `20 lakhs,” said Mr Aggarwal.
“For the last three months, under pressure of her in-laws, Geetanjali would demand money from us, even for paying the school fees of her two children,” he said.
