City shuts for closing ceremony

The city will close down on Thursday for the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony. Both Union and Delhi governments had announced closure of all offices, shops and commercial establishments in the city on the Games opening and closing days. The Delhi high court will remain closed till October 17.
On Friday, many private offices are likely to remain closed on account of Ashtami and Durga Puja. This will be followed by weekend. “I will be going to office on Friday. But few of my friends have planned holidays for four days on the trot,” said A.K. Singh, working in an multi-national software company.
