Car hits school van: 9 students hurt, 2 critical
Nine students were injured, two seriously, after a speeding car hit their school van in Shahabad Dairy area at around 12.45 pm on Friday when the students of Vikas Bharti Public School, Rohini Sector-24, were returning home, the police said.
The van overturned under the impact of the collision, the police said.
While most of the injured, including the driver, were discharged after first-aid at a hospital, the condition of two students, Muskan (13) and Aditi (8 ), who received head injuries, is stated to be critical.
The car driver fled the scene leaving behind the vehicle.

Man jumps before metro train, dies
New Delhi, March 2: A 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a Metro train at the Chandni Chowk station here on Friday.
The deceased man, later identified as Vinod Kumar, jumped before a metro train which was going towards Jahangirpuri at around 7 am, the police said.
They said the victim was rescued and rushed to LNJP Hospital where he succumbed. He had sustained injuries in the chest.
The police officials identified Kumar through his voter identity card which was found on his person.
No suicide note was recovered from him. — PTI
