Car catches fire on outer ring road, none hurt

Three members of a family and their neighbour had a close shave when the car in which they were travelling caught fire at Pitampura in northwest Delhi on Saturday night.
The car, a Ford Icon, caught fire while on the move on Outer Ring Road about a kilometre from Madhuban Chowk in Pitampura late Friday night, the police said.
However, the occupants of the car escaped unharmed as they were alerted by those who sited the flames which started from the engine, they said.
The car went up in flames by the time it was parked and the occupants rushed out of it, they said.
Fire tenders, police personnel and locals took about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
