BYJM stir at Antony’s residence
About 80 workers of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) were detained from Krishna Menon Marg on Tuesday when they were marching towards defence minister A.K. Antony’s residence.
The protesters, led by BJYM president Anurag Thakur, raised slogans demanding the sending of a strong message to Pakistan that such incidents will not be tolerated.
About 250 workers started their march from BJP headquarters in the evening, but were stopped at Krishna Menon Marg. When they refused to call off their march, the police used water canons.
Police detained Mr Thakur and around 20 other BJYM workers and took them Tughlak Road police station. Later, they were released.
