Boy stabbed to death in E. Delhi
A 16-year-old student of a government school in Vivek Vihar, east Delhi, was stabbed to death late on Tuesday night. The incident occurred following an altercation between him and a boy in the neighbourhood over a trivial matter. The boy was stabbed to death when he was returning from the market. A case has been registered. However, no arrests have been made so far.
According to the police, the deceased, Ravi had gone to buy grocery from the Vivek Vihar main market at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday. “Ravi got into a scuffle with a neighbour Sameer,” said the police.
“Ravi’s family members intervened and took him home,” said the police. However, later when Ravi again went to the market for some work, he was attacked by Sameer and his two friends.
Police officers stated that Ravi was stabbed multiple times and then dumped at an isolated spot by Sameer and his friends. “Ravi was rushed to a nearby hospital and later transferred to the Hedgewar Hospital but he succumbed to the injuries,” said the officials.
A case of murder has been registered at the Vivek Vihar police station while the accused are on the run.
