Bluelines on Metro feeder routes now?
Even though the Delhi government has started to phase out Blueline buses, the transport department is deliberating to let them ply as feeder buses to Metro stations. Delhi transport minister Arvinder Singh Lovely had earlier said that the Blueline buses would be phased out by January 31 after missing the December 14 deadline last year.
A senior transport official has said that the department is considering to let the Blueline buses ply on the feeder routes given the existing poor feeder services for Metro stations. He said that the transport department would soon take up the matter with the Delhi Metro in this regard.
The official said that if the Blueline buses were to be allowed on feeder routes the commuters would fined easier to commute to Metro stations.

Computer, papers stolen from bank
New Delhi, Jan. 23: Unidentified men made way with a computer and some documents from a bank in southwest Delhi early Sunday morning, the police said. The incident was reported from the branch of Syndicate Bank at Bharthal village in Dwarka. A villager, who was passing by, noticed a “big hole” in the wall of the bank and immediately informed the police.
“The manager Dheeraj Jain was also informed who came to the spot and opened the bank. We found a computer and some documents missing. But no cash was missing,” a senior police official said.
The robbers tried to open the lockers but could not manage to do so. They ransacked the bank, the official said.
“All the files were taken out of shelves and thrown around,” he said. —PTI
