BJP tells workers to encash anti-incumbency sentiment
Delhi election in-charge Nitin Gadkari presided over a Delhi BJP core group meeting on Tuesday, wherein national leaders discussed key issues of upcoming Assembly polls. The party has decided to highlight the development works undertaken by the three municipal corporations. Besides, the party will also focus on issues affecting the common man.
“The issues were discussed threadbare with focus on corruption, spiralling prices of essential commodities and lack of basis amenities in rural areas. Regularisation of unauthorised colonies will also be a major issue,” said a leader who attended the meeting.
BJP general secretary (organisation) Ramlal asked the Delhi BJP leadership to strengthen the organisational structure fir a collective fight against the ruling party which is eyeing a fourth consecutive term.
The leaders and workers have been told to encash the “anti-incumbency” sentiment against the present government. The leaders discussed the agenda, ticket allocation and manifesto for the Assembly polls.
The source said that party has been advised to keep a close eye on the implementation of food security programme in Delhi and assess whether the people from economical weaker section are actually benefited.
Sources said the objective is to devise a strategy to take up these issues in a planned manner so as to put maximum pressure on the government.
