Bhim Sain Bassi, a 1977 batch senior IPS officer currently posted in the administration wing of the Delhi police, will take oath as the new police commissioner on August 1.
Mr Bassi, 57, is currently posted as special commissioner (administration). He will succeed Mr Neeraj Kumar, who will retire on July 31 after a stormy two-year tenure.
