Baby stolen from DDU Hospital
A six-month-old baby was stolen by a woman from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in west Delhi. A senior police official said the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.
The police official said that Parul, the mother of the six-month-old baby boy, had come to the DDU Hospital for his check up along with her brother-in-law.
“After the checkup, she went to the dispensary to get medicines. While she was standing in the queue for her turn with the boy, a woman offered to hold the baby for her and took the baby boy from Parul. The woman had covered her face with a cloth. However, when Parul turned back after collecting the medicine from the counter, the woman had vanished from the scene along with the baby boy,” said the official.
Parul instantly raised an alarm and called the PCR to inform the police but the woman was not found anywhere.
The police officials are monitoring the CCTV footage of the cameras installed in the hospital premises to get a clue about the accused woman.
The police has registered an FIR of abduction under Section 363 of the IPC at the Hari Nagar police station.
