Autorickshaw driver stabbed by 2 in W. Delhi over affair
A 22-year-old autorickshaw driver was stabbed at Tilak Vihar Colony, west Delhi, by two youth for reportedly having an affair with a girl.
A senior police official said the victim, Raju Singh, was admitted to DDU Hospital. His condition was stated to be critical. He received stab wounds in his chest and abdomen.
Raju has alleged that he was attacked by Amrik Singh and Gurmeet Singh, who live in his neighbourhood. Few days ago, the accused had an argument with Raju for having an affair with a girl. Locals had intervened then. On Saturday night, Raju was talking to someone on phone on the terrace of his house when Amrik and Gurmeet reached there by scaling the wall. “They scolded him for talking to the girl at midnight. Raju told them that he was talking to his family members. The accused snatched his cellphone and when Raju objected they beat up him. Then they took out a knife and stabbed him. Raju started shouting for help. When a mob gathered at the spot, the accused fled. The police was informed and the victim was rushed to hospital,” said the police official.
