Anonymous complaint against DU college doc
A group of girls has anonymously filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment against a doctor working in a health centre at the Ambedkar College of Delhi University. The varsity has instructed the doctor to abide by rules.
The girls alleged that the doctor touched them with wrong intention during check-up. They alleged that there was always one more person in the room that makes them uncomfortable in telling their problem.
“We got an anonymous complaint saying the girls feel uncomfortable in the doctor’s room as one more person is always sitting there. There are other charges of sexual harassment too but since the letter is anonymous we are not able to pinpoint the charges and verify them,” Dean, Students’ Welfare, Dr S.K. Vij said.
The complaint was received over a week back. “I paid a surprise visit to the health centre and instructed the doctor not to let anyone else sit in the room,” he said.
The accused however denied the charges.
A copy of the complaint was also given to the vice-chancellor.
