Afghan student found hanging

A 22-year-old Afghan national and a Delhi University student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his rented accommodation on Sunday.

The police said that the deceased was depressed after his love affair went awry.
The incident took place at Model Town in north Delhi around 11.30 am.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Hamid. He was pursuing graduation in computer science from Hansraj College. His body was spotted by his landlord who came to meet him. The landlord found the body hanging from the ceiling fan with a bed sheet.
The police said that a suicide note written in Urdu was found in the room.
“In a one page suicide note, a poem on love has been written. He also written that he is going to commit to suicide as he failed in love,” said a police officer.
Hamid was in third year. His family has been informed, the police said.
