7 injured as taxi hits school van
Five schoolchildren and a driver were injured when a radio taxi rammed into a school van near Savitri flyover in south Delhi on Thursday morning.
The police officials said the incident took place at around 7 am in the Chitranjan Park area of southeast Delhi. The victims were identified as Sahiba Kaur, her sisters Simran Kaur and Simran. Al of them were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Amrita and Pushpreet, along with driver Sanju, alias Sonu, were admitted to AIIMS Trauma centre. All the students are residents of Shivalik in south Delhi.
Police sources said the victims were going to Guru Harkishen Public school in Greater Kailash when their school van developed a snag near Savitri flyover. The police said Sonnu, the driver of the vehicle, was checking it for repair when a speeding Maruti Versa car rammed into the van.
