6 arrested for cheating in rpf recruitment test

The crime branch arrested six persons for allegedly cheating in a Railway Protection Force (RPF) recruitment exam. The police said an organised gang was providing the answers through SMS.
Those arrested have been identified as Rahul Mavi, Tapish, Sunny, Robin Kumar, Sohanpal and Tapender.
A senior police official said they were solving questions with the help of answer keys sent to them through SMS on their phones. The police recovered six cellphones from them.
The police official said that it was national level examination for the recruitment of constables in RPF. The examination centre was at Shri Tula Ram Public School, a private school in Aman Vihar, Outer Delhi. The police conducted a raid following a tip-off and recovered the cellphones having answers in the SMS inbox of all the four sets.
During probe, it came to light that the candidates came in contact with different sources who promised them to provide answer keys of the question paper for the recruitment test. They assured the candidates that answer keys of all four sets of question paper will be provided before the start of the examination through SMS. They were charging around `3 lakhs for this facility.

Cops nab man for stealing cash from atm

The police has arrested a man who allegedly stole money from the ATM of Punjab National Bank in Mandwali Nagar and recovered `2,79,500 cash from his possession.
A senior police official said the accused has been identified as Sanjeev, alias Sanjay.
“The security guard Ramesh Pandey was sleeping outside the ATM when he heard a thud from the machine. He saw that the shutter of ATM half-closed and a boy standing outside. When the guard got up, a man waiting on a motorcycle sped away. The guard opened the shutter and saw a boy stealing cash from ATM. He tried to catch him but he managed to run away,” said the police official.
The police said that two policemen on patrol duty nabbed the accused. Sanjeev told the police that he worked with ATM companies and knew how to feed cash in ATMs.
He said that he came in contact with a security guard of an ATM who lured him to steal money.
