3 arrested for S. Delhi murder

The police on Friday arrested three persons, who allegedly killed a 25-year-old man in Safdarjung Enclave. A senior police official said that the accused, Sumit Katcher, Rahul, alias Bobby, and Vijay, alias Sanjay, were arrested following a tip-off.

“The deceased Dinesh Bharti used to deal in scrap. The accused used to sell him scrap and had a tiff with him over payment. On August 12, the accused went to his shop in Safdarjung to discus the issue. They demanded a higher price and this led to an argument. They killed Dinesh in a fit of rage,” said the official.
Dinesh’s wife Anita informed the police and an FIR was registered. During investigation, the police got to know that four persons were seen with the deceased. “Sumit, Rahul and Vijay had become suspects as they were missing. Their accomplice was arrested but they were absconding. They have confessed their involvement in the murder,” said the official.
