2 schoolkids crushed in mishaps
Two schoolchildren were crushed to death by speeding vehicles in two different incidents in the city on Thursday evening.
A 13-year-old boy, Bhola, was killed by a speeding truck in Rohini on Thursday evening.
“Bhola was returning from a market in Vijay Vihar when a speeding truck crushed him while he was crossing the road,” a police official said.
The driver of the truck was arrested. Irate locals staged a protest against the police and alleged that the cops thrashed them and local mediapersons.
In another incident, a Class 5 student was crushed by a tempo in Kalyanpuri. The deceased, Tushar, son of Dinesh Singh, was returning home at around 9.45 pm when a speeding tempo hit him. He was rushed to LBS Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The driver, Ravinder, was arrested.
