2 Nigerians held, cocaine worth `1 crore seized
The Delhi police arrested two Nigerians allegedly with 70 grams of cocaine worth `1 crore in the international market.
Chidi Meachele Iloagbala, 32, and Chukwoeeka Kenneth, 29, both hailing from Oriffte in Nigeria, were apprehended by the police near Sultanpur Metro Station recently when they came there to supply the consignment to a client, deputy commissioner of police (south) Chhaya Sharma said.
The police seized 70.5 gm of cocaine from them. “The duo came to India about six months back on a business visa and were staying in Uttam Nagar. They came for export of readymade garments from Delhi to Lagos and got into drugs after loss in business,” DCP Sharma said.
“They came in contact with a Nigerian drug trafficker in Mumbai who also lives in Delhi. He influenced them to supply drugs to earn in a short span of time,” the DCP said.
“They had finalised the first deal with one Rahul at Ghitorni Metro Station but were nabbed,” Ms Sharma said.
