2 minors raped, police arrests one accused

A youth has been arrested for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl when she was alone at her house in Pashim Vihar area in West Delhi, the police said on Saturday.

According to the police, accused Hiral Lal, 24, who worked as a labour and lived in the neighbourhood of the girl, barged into her house and raped her. The incident took place on Friday night.
The police arrested Hira Lal from his house after the rape was confirmed in the medical examination. The girl is admitted in Sanjay Gandhi hospital, the police said.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old girl was raped after an unknown person abducted her from her house in north-east Delhi’s Sonia Vihar area, the police said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday when the girl’s father had gone out to meet someone after dinner. When he returned he found her missing from the house. A PCR call was made and the girl was searched everywhere, the police said. “The girl returned after a while and claimed that she was abducted by an unknown person who sexually assaulted her in a nearby field,” a senior police official said. The girl was taken to GTB hospital for medical examination, which confirmed rape.
