2 held for molesting minor girl

Two young men, who allegedly molested and attempted to rape a minor girl inside a gymnasium after abducting her from a park in Vikaspuri area of west Delhi on Monday morning, have been arrested by the police.

The police said the incident took place at around 10 am in C block of Vikaspuri. A businessman, along with his wife, 11-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son, had gone for a walk to a park in Vikaspuri locality on Monday morning. After spending some time in the park, the husband-wife due prepared to leave and asked their children to return home soon. “As soon as the duo left the park, the accused identified as Dyanand, 32 and Rinku, 28, lured the two victims to a gymnasium, where they are working as security guards, and asked the girl to remove her clothes. The victim resisted, following which they forcibly started removing her clothes,” a police official said. “They have been booked for attempting rape and other relevant sections of the IPC,” DCP (west), V. Renganathan said.
