2 arrested for stealing trucks, 2 vehicles seized

The police on Saturday arrested two inter-state cheats-cum-thieves and recovered two stolen vehicles from them. The accused were identified as Vikas Dandhi and Naseeb Singh, both natives of Haryana.

A senior police official said that information was received on May 23 that a mini-truck hired from Bawana was taken to Panipat, Haryana, and subsequently was stolen.
The police got a tip-off that the thieves would be coming near Azadpur market. A raid was conducted and the accused were arrested. “Vikas hired mini-truck to bring wheat and pulse from Haryana. On the way, they became friendly with drivers, and took the keys while halting midway. After distracting the driver, they used to flee with the vehicle,” he said.
