2 arrested for Narela murder
The crime branch of Delhi police has arrested two persons in connection with a murder of a 30-year-old man in Narela area. The police said that the man was killed for having an affair with a woman.
Additional commissioner of police (crime branch) Ravindra Yadav said the accused Alok Kumar Gupta and Kapil Kumar were arrested near Ghoga Crossing following a tip-off.
The official said that the deceased, Dalip Kumar Bhardwaj, was found murdered in Narela Industrial area on September 8. His body bore multiple injuries mark.
An FIR was lodged at the local police station. A special team of crime branch was investigating the matter.
The accused were missing from the area after the murder. The police nabbed them on Saturday night.
“Alok revealed during interrogation that Dalip had a girlfriend and he was also interested in the same girl. Alok proposed the girl several times for which Dalip scolded him. Alok then decided to eliminate him and roped in his friend Kapil in his plan to kill Dalip. They called Dalip on the pretext of a party. After having liquor they had an argument with Dalip for scolding Alok. The accused stabbed him to death,” said the police official.
