2 arrested for death of filmmaker
An owner of a jewellery shop and her son was arrested in connection with the death of documentary filmmaker, Anand Bhaskar Morla, in Hauz Khas area of Green Park in south Delhi.
The filmmaker was electrocuted on Saturday when his car touched an iron gate on which a live wire rested after being spilt from an air-conditioner at a jewellery shop.
“The accused persons were identified as Kamlesh Bansal and her son Dhruv Bansal. We got to know that there was a negligence on the part of shop owner. They were questioned and arrested for negligence. They placed their air conditioner outside the shop from which a live wire fell on the iron get that had got wet during rain,” said the police official.
According to information, the police has booked them under section 304-A (causing death due to negligence) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
