1 arrested in body in bag case
The crime branch claimed to have arrested one of the associates of a man believed to be involved in murder of a law graduate, who was found dumped in a bag near New Delhi Railway Station last month.
The accused identified as Naveen Shoken has been charged for allegedly harbouring the accused identified as Raju Gehlot, his relative, who is suspected of being involved in the murder of Neetu Solanki. Gehlot holds a masters degree in tourism management and was previously employed by Indian Airlines as a crew member.
“We have arrested Shokeen for providing a hideout for Solanki at his home and charged under sections 201 and 202 (intentionally harbouring and concealing an accused) of Indian Penal Code,” Ashok Chand, deputy commissioner of police (crime), said.
The body of Neetu was found outside the railway station on February 11 and had remained unidentified till February 23 when her father approached the police to claim the body.
