‘Honour killing’ at Ashok Vihar
A couple, late on Sunday night, was found dead in their Ashok Vihar Phase II residence. After initial investigations, the police is suspecting a case of “honour killing”. The deceased, identified as Monika and Kuldeep, are suspected to have been shot point blank. The police has so far said that it will question some members of Monika’s family in connection with the double murder. Monika and Kuldeep were married for the past four years.

CAT supports DDU principal

June 20: Setting aside the order of Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital against its acting principal, Dr Surekha Sama, for alleged violation of certain rules, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) said that the punitive action which was taken against Dr Sama was wrong and the hospital authorities has passed the order without hearing her side.
The tribunal, comprising vice-chairman L.K. Joshi and member Meera Joshi, however, allowed the hospital administration to re-initiate the proceeding and take action, if needed, after hearing her.
