Srini re-elected as TNCA prez, set for London
After completing his annual ritual with aplomb, N. Srinivasan seems to be heading for London to attend the International Cricket Council’s annual conference. As expected, Srinivasan was on Sunday elected unopposed as president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and it will be his 12th successive term.
In the 83rd annual general meeting held at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium, Srinivasan had no opposition. In the run-up to the AGM, former TNCA and BCCI president A.C.
Muthiah was expected to challenge Srinivasan, but no one proposed his name on the floor.
Though it’s certain that Srinivasan would reach London on Monday with interim BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya, it’s not clear which meetings he would attend.
Meanwhile, Srinivasan’s confidant Kasi Viswanathan was elected for the seventh year consecutive term as secretary of the association. All the other office bearers have been unanimously elected.
