Bengaluru: New Zealand's veteran all-rounder Scott Styris, starting with a base price of $100,000, was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for $200,000.

South African all-rounder Justin Ontong with a base price of $20,000 was unsold, the same fate as compatriots Zander de Bryun and Vernon Philander.

England's Samit Patel also found no takers.

Australian pacer Ben Hilfenhaus was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for his base price of $100,000, but fellow countryman Peter Siddle found no takers.

Former India player Mohammad Kaif attracted no interest at the 2011 IPL Players' Auction and was unsold.

Australian Luke Pomersbach was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore for $50,000.

England's poor run at the auction continued when Ian Bell, one of their star performers in the Ashes, was unsold
