series against New Zealand
Sri Lanka's cricket selectors on Friday named uncapped teenager Tharindu Kaushal in a 15-man squad for a two-Test home series against New Zealand starting next week.
The 19-year-old is one of the three specialist spinners in the team along with Rangana Herath and Suraj Randiv for the Tests to be played in Galle (November 17-21) and Colombo (November 25-29).
Off-spinner Kaushal is also part of the Sri Lankan squad for the ongoing five-match one-day series against the tourists, but did not figure in the opening three games. The hosts also retained the one-day squad for the last two matches at Hambantota on Saturday and Monday.
Sri Lanka currently lead the one-day series 2-0 following victories in the second and third matches. The opening game was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain.
