Salwan Boys enter inter-state semis
Mohammad Kaif, Shivam Chauhan and Prashant Vashist led Delhi’s Salwan Boys into the semi-finals of the U-16 inter-state leg Coca Cola Cup as they beat Don Bosco Matriculation HSS, TN, by three wickets at the Bharat Nagar ground here on Sunday.
Batting first, Don Bosco were powered by Daryl Serrario’s 104-ball 96 not out (2x6, 9x4), posting 211/6 in 45 overs.Alizan Alam and Sahil Sharma took one wicket each.
In reply, Salwan Boys chased down the target in 42.3 overs with three wickets to spare. They also topped the points table with an all-win record and now meet Mumbai’s Anjuman I-Islam Allana English School in the semi finals.
In another match, man of the match Gaurav Lodhi from Christian Eminent, MP, took five wickets to help his team register a six wicket win over West Bengal’s Balurghat High School.
Balurghat were shot out for 72 in 27.3 overs and Christian Eminent reached the target in just 16.2 overs.
