Sachin is my hero, says Aussie Dwyer
From Jamie Dwyer to ‘Jamie Singh Dwyer’ in a span of a week, the Australian hockey skipper is lapping up the experience of playing in the inaugural Hockey India League.
Five times FIH Player of the Year — the only one in the world to get the honour — Dwyer is the captain of the Punjab Warriors in the city-based league that got under way on the day, and is becoming their go-to man. In the team’s hometown Jalandhar, he is affectionately referred to as ‘Jamie Singh’.
