Ryder to miss ODI series
Nagpur, Nov. 23: Key New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder will miss an upcoming five-match one-day international series against India following a calf injury.
The left-hander picked up a calf strain in the second Test in Hyderabad and aggravated it further during the final game in Nagpur, where he batted with a runner. “Ryder is flying back home and will not be available for the one-day series against India,” team manager Dave Currie said after the third Test. Ryder finished as the second-highest run-getter for New Zealand with 274 runs from five innings in the three-Test series.
The ODI series starts on November 28.
