Earliest sporting memory: Playing rubber-ball cricket in my backyard.

2. Sports played: Table tennis and carrom.

3. Few words on your school life? My first school was Saraswathi Vidyalaya but I had to shift because there was not much of scope for sports there. Like every young kid, I too have thoroughly enjoyed my time at school.

4. What would you have done without cricket? I would have become a Charted Accountant. I was pretty good at studies.

5. Most memorable sporting moment? Getting Inzamam-ul-Haq in the Karachi ODI in 2006. He was looking threatening and getting his wicket pleased me a lot.

6. Worst sporting moment: My second last ODI against Australia at Bengaluru in 2007.

7. Sporting heroes: Roger Federer, Sachin Tendulkar, Pat Symcox, Saqlain Mustaq.

8. Favourite venue: Eden Gardens.

9. Sporting event you would pay the most to see: Any Manchester United match during the EPL.

10. Questions most asked by the public and the press: About my physique. They want to know how I am able to play at this level. But what matter is attitude and I have loads of it.

11. Greatest change you would like to see in the running of your sport or If you could change one rule in your sport: I would like to see more professionalism.

12. Sporting motto: To give nothing but 100% on the field.

13. Who would you most like to invite to dinner – and why? Madhuri Dixit. She is a brilliant actress and a good human being as well.

14. The best match you ever saw: A Ranji game between Mumbai and Tamil Nadu where Sachin scored an unbeaten double hundred. I loved watching the master play an unbelievable knock. We pulled off a close win.

18. The person you learnt most from: My elder sister Geetha.

19. The sports personality you admire most: Sachin and Federer.

20. Favourite holiday spot: Goa.

21. How will you like to be remembered? As a nice person and of course as a good off-spinner.

22. Other interests in your life: Music. I also watch a lot of TV.

23. Your one piece of advice to youngsters: Always stay focused.

24. Pet name: Ramzy.

25. Your biggest extravaganza: I have recently bougt a costly watch.

26. What do you never leave home without? Cellphone and music player.

30. One bad habit you wish you could get rid of: Eating.

37. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? At home relaxing with my family.
