Sachin Tendulkar is all set give smartphones a new look, well almost. Collectabillia.com on Thursday announced the launch of Sachin Tendulkar smartphone cases.
Designed for 10 different models of smartphones, these cases have been made available for prebooking on Flipkart.com from the first week of September and will be available at leading retail outlets across the country and online stores later this month.
Emulating the dynamism of Sachin Tendulkar, a new design for the cases will be launched every month, all with a digital signature of the master blaster and will have a hologram with a unique serial number.
Speaking on the launch of these unique cases, Anjana Reddy, Managing Director, Universal Sportsbiz Pvt. Ltd., said, “Having successfully launched an exclusive line of Sachin Tendulkar Merchandise on Collectabillia.com in May, we truly saw the need for a lot of more options of Sachin Tendulkar merchandise to be made available to the public, and given how essential the smartphone is today, we truly needed to cater to that market. As a company that believes in bringing fans closer to their icons, I feel this will be a huge step towards our cause.”
Collectabillia.com had launched its auction platform during the 2012 season of the IPL partnering Sachin Tendulkar exclusively to auction limited edition merchandise post his historical ‘hundredth hundred’. Since then, they have been working closely with him, having, in association with FlipKart, launched exclusive Sachin Tendulkar branded merchandise, consisting of digitally signed miniature bats, leather wallets, notebooks and Sachin’s personally autographed memorabilia including ‘Century of Centuries’ collection.
“We are proud to present this collection, which in a way is our tribute to this legendary cricketer,” said Jatin Bhardwaj, Director, iAccy Designs Pvt. Ltd., who will partner with Collectabillia.com on this venture.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
