Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, will get married on Sunday, a day ahead of the second Test against West Indies.

The Chennai-based is getting married to childhood sweetheart Preethi Narayanan. Ashwin and Preethi were engaged earlier this year.

Ashwin's father Ravichandran, while reluctant to divulge details, said the marriage, scheduled a day ahead of the second India-West Indies cricket Test in Kolkata, would be restricted to the two families and close friends.

Ashwin made a dream Test debut with nine wickets against West Indies. The bowler had said after the match that he was happy to go into his wedding after a successful start to his Test career.

Ashwin took six wickets in the West Indies second innings when they were bowled out for 180.

The 25-year old, who made ODI and T20 debuts last year, has gained in status in the past couple of seasons during which he also played a key role in the Chennai Super Kings winning back-to-back titles in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ashwin replaced Harbhajan Singh in the Indian Test squad.
