Murali may play for SA side Titans
Former Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan may play for provincial side Titans in South Africa's domestic cricket events, media reports said here on Saturday.
According to Afrikaans daily Beeld, Centurion-based Titans want Muralitharan to play for them in the inter-provincial SuperSport and Pro20 series. The 38-year-old, who recently retired from international cricket after reaching 800 wickets milestone, is currently playing in South Africa for the Chennai Super Kings in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament.
Titans were forced to look elsewhere after two of their star players left for other provincial sides. Paul Harris is set to play for the Lions, while Imran Tahir has joined the Dolphins. England batsman Owais Shah is also expected to join provincial team Cobras in November, the daily reported.
