Marsh to coach Pune Warriors

Former Australia opener Geoff Marsh has been appointed coach of new Indian Premier League side Sahara Pune Warriors while Demot Reeve, former England all rounder, will be the assistant coach.

Announcing this here on Monday, Mr Subrato Roy, who owns the Sahara Pune Warriors, said that the coaches were selected after keeping all aspects in mind.
“We wanted someone who could gel with different nationalities and bring players on one emotional platform for the team and these were our best choices,” he said.
Roy said that he would ensure that players form UP got priority in the Sahara Pune Warriors team. “Our team is not for two and a half months of IPL alone — we will use them elsewhere too,” he added.
