India win toss, elect to field in first T20

India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to field in the first twenty20 international against Australia here on Wednesday.

Sachin Tendulkar is not part of the playing XI, while leg-spinner Rahul Sharma makes his debut for India.

For Australia, Xavier Doherty and James Faulkner will debut along with captain George Bailey.
