India scored a challenging 314-6 after electing to bat in the opening one-day international against Sri Lanka in Hambantota on Saturday.
Virat Kohli (106) and opener Virender Sehwag (96), who added 173 for the second wicket, were the main scorers for India while seamer Thisara Perera bagged three wickets for Sri Lanka.
