Deccan Chargers flex muscles ahead of their opener
The Deccan Chargers had a rigorous physical fitness session at a local gymnasium here on Wednesday.
David Bailey, team trainer, was seen paying extra attention to ensure that the players were fit for the long season.
The IPL-2 champions will open their campaign against defending champions Chennai Super Kings at the ACA-VDCA stadium here on April 7.
They then lock horns with Mumbai Indians on April 9.
David gave individual attention to the players. The Chargers arrived at the Mumbai-based Talwalkars gym in two batches. Parthiv Patel, Tanmay Mishra, Tanmay Srivastava, Daniel Harris and Chris Lynn, Atchuta Rao, Sneha Kishore, Manpreet Gony, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala sweated it out for long.
Sneha Kishore said, “Trainer Bailey had given a light exercise today ahead of the first match. Fitness needs of a batsman are different to those of bowlers,” he added.
