Deccan Chargers bat for a cause

In a scene reminiscent of the start of a football match, the Deccan Chargers players walked out onto the field, prior to the start of their match against the Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad, hand-in-hand with several children and then lined up with the children standing in front of them.

This was a part of the Chargers’ joint-venture with the Save a Child’s Heart Initiative (SACHI) and all the children on the field were part of the SACHI programme.

The Bulls had been supporting SACHI since the 2011 season, and addressing the crowd at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, skipper Kumar Sangakkara explained about SACHI and their campaign supporting the same.
