Chand stars in ONGC win

An unbeaten 66 by Unmukt Chand and Mayank Tehlan’s 35 helped ONGC beat Gush Club by five wickets in the 38th Lala Raghubir Singh hotweather cricket tournament at the Modern School, Barakhamba Road, grounds in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Chasing 173, ONGC overhauled the target in 22.1 overs.
Earlier, Gush Academy posted 172/6 in 40 overs. Priyanshu Vijayran top scored with 65 as Abhishek Chaudhary chipped in with unbeaten 33.
Chand was named the Adidas man of the match.
In the second match of the day, Shiv Luv (91) and Shiva Yadav (56 not out) set up KN Colts’ two-wicket win over Sonnet Club in the league round.
Chasing 290, KN Colts went past the target in 30.1 overs. Besides man of the match Luv and Yadav, Pramod Chandela (51) was also instrumental in his team’s win.
Sunny Sehrawat, Subodh Bhati and Prem Kumar took two wickets apiece for Sonnet Club.

Sonnet Club 289 in 39 overs (Rishabh Pant 100, Eklavya Diwedi 66, Pratyush Singh 46, Anuj Kataria 5/49, Shiva Yadav 2/48, Vijayant Hooda 2/52) lost to KN Colts 295/8 in 30.1 overs (Shiv Luv 91, Shiva Yadav 56 not out, Pramod Chandela 51, Manoj Dagar 33, Sunny Sehrawat 2/64, Subodh Bhati 2/48, Prem Kumar 2/48).
